2028 Democratic presidential hopefuls used Twitter to address various issues. President Trump Signs Executive Orders on Drones, Flying Cars, and Supersonics
President Trump signed three executive orders aimed at accelerating domestic drone production, securing airspace, and reestablishing American leadership in supersonic technology. According to White House Office of Science and Technology Policy Director Michael Kratsios, these orders will provide American innovators "greater ability to test, develop, and commercialize these cutting-edge aircrafts that will reshape aviation," as "decades of regulatory gridlock have grounded advancements."
The orders intend to reduce reliance on adversarial nations, repeal regulations hindering supersonic flight, and enable routine beyond line-of-sight drone operations. A pilot program will test electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft for various applications. The orders also address the misuse of drones by criminal, terrorist, and foreign entities, prioritizing drone detection to protect national security and secure borders against aerial threats.

ICYMI: “For the first time in decades, the US-Mexico border is silent”
According to the Arizona Republic, the U.S.-Mexico border has seen a "stark" change, with migrant encounters dropping from over 100,000 monthly a year ago to under 10,000. A USA TODAY Network investigation across 15 border sites found few migrants attempting to cross, shelters nearly empty, and local officials relieved. The report suggests President Trump's promise of shutting down migrant flow "seems fulfilled."
Despite the border's relative quiet, "Trump maintains that it remains in a state of crisis while touting the success of his efforts." The House's spending bill includes $150 billion for immigration enforcement, including funds for wall construction, facilities, and deportation efforts.
